I make digital things work simply, in ways that people love, and lets face it, we could all use a little more simplicity.
I spend most of my time designing user interfaces for educational software at Pearson Education. Building beautiful, friendly user interfaces and experiences is what I live to do. I’ve had the wonderful opportunity of designing for a huge age range from Kindergarteners to adults.
There are many pieces that go into designing software and websites. Understanding market drivers and user needs, structuring the information architecture, content strategy, building wireframes, user testing and research, final visual designs, all while working closely with product managers, business analysts, editorial staff, front and back end developers just to name a few. It’s a thrilling, sometimes gut wrenching process that I’m always grateful to participate in.
When I’m not designing, I also enjoy entertaining my two miniature Dachshunds, and eating pizza.
